RACE 8 – SOLD FOR SONG –
She was having her first start since winning a listed race in December. From a good alley she was able to camp off the speed and was strong through the line. Look for her in a 1200m 3yo fillies race in the coming weeks where she will be difficult to beat.
SYDNEY :
RACE 2 – IMPENDING –
First starter IMPENDING was extremely impressive in winning by an ever increasing margin. This well bread colt could have a hit & run mission to either Brisbane or Melbourne,then be spelled for Spring. Wherever he goes follow him.
Race 6 – UNEQUIVICOL
Was the biggest travesty beaten in long long time.She had absolutely no luck for most of the straight and when she sighted daylight flew late to miss out by a short half head. On a dray track she will be give them a shake at Scone around 1400m.
MELBOURNE:
RACE 5 – MEFNOODA
Hot pot favourite and the Mick Price mare ran like one clocking a nice time and putting a few nice horses to sleep. Bigger things for her in the Spring.
Monday – Flemington – Fleur Fatale.
All the talk was on the new “ Peoples Horse” the baldy faced Miss Vista and she is very good, I just thought the run of the 2ndplaced horse Fleur Fatale had more merit. Chasing hard and carrying an extra 4Kg she hit the line much stronger and had the fastest late splits of the day in 11.44.
ADELAIDE:
RACE 8 – DON’T DOUBT MAMMA
We put her in our quinella but DON’T DOUBT MUMMA was sensational winning listed 1100m against Miss Gunpowder. Stubby held her back and when she is ridden cold she can just reel off sensational late sectionals. Watch her through the Adelaide carnival over the sprints.
THE LAST WORD
We couldn’t tell enough punters to just keep backing RAW IMPULSE and he won dutifully for The Boxers. He is a rare talent. Just seems to relax so well but when asked to quicken he does everything he should. Just keep backing him.
Nice to see that Hugh Bowman leads the World’s best Jockey Standings ahead of Ryan Moore.
